Germination: Monoembryonic

Posted on April 8, 2026May 8, 2026 by Helen

In my 2025 trials, identifying the seed type is a high-level skill:

  • Monoembryonic: One seed = one plant. These are usually hybrids (like the “Tommy Atkins” often found in shops). They will not grow true-to-type, meaning the fruit might be different from the parent.
