There is a specific kind of clarity that comes from seeing the internal world of a plant through a microscope. In the lecture hall, we moved beyond the diagrams of our coursework to perform hands-on dissections of leaves, stems, and roots. By observing the cellular structures ourselves, the mechanics of nutrient transport and photosynthesis became tangible. Understanding these foundational building blocks is essential for any conservationist looking to manage larger botanical landscapes or restoration projects.
